FOOTWORK / DRIVING
This is a common set of footwork that players tend to skip over because they tend to think it's "easy". In reality, most players are missing key elements to this footwork and it causes problems in the game.

SPLIT THRU CROSS
This is one of the most common series that trainers and coaches bring players through, but without correcting poor execution. Little footwork skills like this go a long way so don't just assume you have it down.
Just film from each angle and we'll let you know.
FIRST STEP FINISHES
First step finishes are an important skill for every player as they allow you to jump at any moment in the drive.
But in the process of learning to jump off any foot, it's important that scripted and fake movements don't enter the training process.
This could feel easy or difficult based on where you're at, but let's make sure the technique is strong.
SKIPS TO STOPS
FOOTWORK / DRIVING
This is one of our favorite tests for player footwork that we've used with kids to NBA All-Stars.
Don't be fooled. This is harder than it looks and more important for your skills than it may appear.
Note: Once again, this method relies on your speed, so don't hold back.
CONE SLIDE PULLUPS
DRIVING / SHOOTING
We don't do this method just to get low, we do it to make sure your body is moving exactly the way we want it to.
You'll be shocked at just how much detail and technique is possible with Cone Slide Pullups.
Note: Push your speed and don't hold back!
HANG TIME FINISHES
Don't call these fancy. The movements here are as fundamental to great finishing as it gets.
Also, don't worry about your athleticism. If you can lower the rim, feel free to do that to make yourself more comfortable. We mainly just need to see your movement.
Note: Don't worry about misses!
MED BALL POUND TO SPLIT THRU
This method is one of the hardest ball handling challenges we give to players of ALL ages.
It will challenge you in more ways to count, and don't be fooled. Even when you think you're getting it right, you're probably not!
Note: If you don't have a Med GripBall, feel free to use a replacement like rolled up (clean) socks.
The Drop is one of the most important sets of footwork and moves in the game of basketball, but players also should be able to shoot out of the move effectively.
For you to do that well, we need to make sure that your techniques and timing remain strong.
Send in your video so you can add this weapon to your arsenal right away.
RHYTHM BOX HITS
It's time to test your ball handling ability and this method packs in a ton of techniques.
When doing this method, just make sure you're being aggresive so we can truly test each detail.
Note: If you don't have a box, then use a padded chair.
TWO STEP EXPLOSIONS
FOOTWORK / DRIVING
Some players have what we call "numb feet." You might have them too.
The key here is to make sure you are only taking two steps each time, while coming to a complete stop each and every time.
The key word in this one is - EXPLOSION.
MOTION STEP ACCOUNTABILITY
DRIVIING / SHOOTING
The ability to take multiple steps between dribbles is a major key in today's game.
Players need to remain fluid and smooth in their movements. Do this method so we can see just how well you are moving with the ball in your hands.
Note: Don't worry if you feel like you are carrying. We will tell you how to fix it anyway!
INVERTED DROP + PUSH CROSS
