WHAT IS SKILL ENHANCEMENT TRAINING?

Skill Enhancement methodology is the targeted training of
basketball skills, techniques, body positions, and game characteristics.
While the most common form of training is read-based and game situational,
it can also be found in any gym and is trained regularly within teams and clubs.

The I'm Possible Skill Enhancement approach identifies and applies terminology
to every skill and quality within the game of basketball in order to make all skills
available to all players, no matter their current role or team system, by
simulating the qualities and skills of the game regardless of game situations.

UNDERSTANDING SKILLS AND GAME TRANSFER

Strength and Conditioning

ATHLETIC TRANSFER

Strength and Conditioning, much like Skill Enhancement Training, doesn't directly aim to provide game transfer. The effects of athletic transfer are easily understood in how a player's athleticism can naturally improve their overall game.

Common but specialized. Multiple certifications exist and are available

Skill Enhancement Training

SKILL TRANSFER

Skill Enhancement training is meant to provide the skills and characteristics needed for any player to find success within game situations and ultimately equip them for any role. This allows for much more efficient game transfer and game results.

Specialized. Harder to find. Certification only through.

GAME TRANSFER

The primary purpose of game situational training is a direct correlation to in-game results. The quality of game transfer will be largely impacted by the quality of a players athletic and skill transfer.
